A Letter to Prox
Dear friends from Prox,
By the time this reaches you, I'm sure you've noticed I'm no longer in Prox. Two months ago, when we all learned of Saturo's death, I decided I had to finish his quest. I do not know where his party has gone, nor do I know the name of the man who killed him, but I promise, I will bring glory back for Prox. His death will not go without a purpose.
Recently, I have joined a small party of adventurers. Of the names I know now, they appear to go by Karenth, Felix, and Lenny-something...
Felix radiates an odd aura. He has red eyes, just like I do, but I believe that the trait is very uncommon in humans. He carries a stone around with him, which confuses me, as he claims he can't get rid of it and that it "comes back to him." This seems to make Lenny tense, from what I've seen. Lenny is a paladin under some sun god, which leads me to believe that Felix may have either rejected his god or committed some grand sin. I don't trust either of them. They let their beliefs determine how they act and how they treat the others. Regardless of a god, you must not let that destroy your bonds.
Karenth, however, I trust. He seems to have powerful connections and family members, but yet, he doesn't let this determine how he makes his choices. When I went with him into a dungeon, he didn't jump to murder to make his way through. He doesn't seem easily frightened, either, which is admirable. His nature to use.....unusual methods fascinates me.... The effectiveness of cheese and casual banter should be investigated later on. Despite his ways, however, he appears to be a nice guy. I trust him.
We plan to travel to Rome soon, as we may or may not have woken up with no way to get back to the port. Thankfully, it wasn't our boat....
But regardless, we lost a boat, so we're going to Rome. We don't have food, but hopefully, we can figure something out. I will say this, though. I miss home...
I hope to be sending back some goods soon.
