Fella is a tall imposing looking firbolg, Standing at 7'11 and 290lb of wiry muscle. The first thing you of course notice is his size, followed swiftly by his intricate tribal tattoos covering his arms, neck and chest. He wears a plain set of grey and brown leather armor with white furs lining the inside and sometimes sticking out awkwardly from beneath. His hair and beard (friendly Muttons) is Ginger and are both well kept and braided with small woven leather strips. Those perceptive enough would notice a blotchy branded scar representing the ancient order of the Yadyr. Most people when they look at him realise that he's dangerous, but fear is rarely a default reaction. Although some note the Jaedyr mark on his manged left hand and react.
 
“Fella, you have to try. Our clan is proud to be of druidic traditions.”. Fella sighed “ I am trying ma, I promise!”. Gigi smiled a sympathetic smile, “Go on! Go explore the woods or something! I’ve got dinner to prepare!”. Grinning Fella turned and ran out of the door yelling “Love you ma!” and headed for the edge of the village. He knew where he was going after all the time he’d followed the same path: right of the withered tree, between the fallen oak and the boulder, through the curtain of vines and there she was. As the curtains drew back a vision of beauty filled his vision, the clearing in the forest was completely sealed off open to the sky with nothing but tall grass and hundred of types of wild flowers. Sat in the centre as always was Velanus she turned her face to his. His vision blurred and reality sheared.
 
Blinking he found himself watching himself at around the age of 24, he both hated and loved this memory. Glancing around the room he soon recognised it as Olumba’s tent. The various painted hides hung around a central area with a firepit. The artwork varied from crude paintings of animals from the orcs homeland to more tradition portraits of the spirits he and his brothers levied their power. “Ahhh, you’re finally awake!” Exclaimed his mentor. The old Orc sat in his usual spot in the circular tent, eyes still closed. He was a diminutive man, short for an orc but just as broad in the shoulders and chest and his larger cousins. His grey near white hair braided and tied back his sideburns neatly trimmed and shaped. His age was finally catching up with him you could see it in his eyes, his hair colour and the wrinkles of his face having been present for a good many years. His eyes were the only indicator of his failing health. “The five elements that we as shaman can call upon?” Without hesitation Fella repeated what he’d been taught “Acid, Cold, Fire, Thunder and Lightning”. Nodding Olumba said “A Shamans path is...” Without skipping a breath Fella completed the sentence “a circle, life life and magic itself”. His mentor and friend laughed a hearty laugh. “Good good!”. He felt the familiar fluttering in his chest, his vision blurred and reality flashed out of sync.
 
His next adventure in the vastness of his memories took him back in time and soothed his restless body in his bed, although unknown to him. He found himself transported to the time he left his home of Svellheimr in the high reaches of Vinter Furu. Gigi looked down proudly at her son, for the past 15 years the village elders had been trying to teach Fella the way of the druid. Unknown to them that his true calling has yet been found. It all happened so quickly, one day Fella was the failure of the clan the next...he was a shamans apprentice. Fella thought nothing of his ability to understand the spirits of the forest and mountains. Assuming it to be the birthing of his magic. It wasn’t until an ageing orc ventured over the long journey from his home on a mission to find untapped potential. He walked into the village and was instantly recognised as a spirit walker. Welcomed into the Village there was a great feast to celebrate the union between shamanistic and Druidic magic. During the festivities the old orc agreed to show a demonstration of the differences between the two paths. Watching with uncontrollable excitement at discovering something new Fella sat with baited breath. At first the magic the orc displayed was purely for show, although it still impressed him. Then something changed, the shaman closed his eyes and placed a beautifully carved stick into the ground at his feet. Then the world changed, as the magic words were spoken a bright blue line of magic shot out from the top of the stick and fell like a firework surrounding the entire circle of Firbolgs watching in a paper thin dome of magic. Fella was amazed and cheered loudly until he noticed he was the only one with such a reaction. Self-consciously he stopped cheering and awkwardly bowed his head. His eyes widened, and he looked up only now realising that the entire audience of the spectacle was staring at him eyes wide, mouths agape. The only face in crowd not surprised was Gigi, his mother, she simply smiled a knowing smile. Glancing towards the shaman he noted a thoughtful glance towards his mother and approached Fella with a kindly smile on his face. Here he goes again the fluttering, blinding flash as the memory slipped from his vision.
 
His eyes grasped focus and horror filled his thoughts, he found himself staring at an alien land Dark stone and barren plains. Instantly he know where he was...Shadowfell. He looked around himself and noticed Velanus standing 20 paces from him in animated conversation with Hevuil Brightwood a dwarf shaman who had saved their lives more than once. Solemnly Fella headed toward his friends. “We need to go back lass, this is beyond any of us!” Hevuil’s gravelly voice said urgently. “But we will never get this chance again, to explore the Shadowfell! This is our chance Hev!” The bright tinkle of Velanus’ voice split the tension of the surroundings and for a moment Fella felt pure joy in his heart. Fella desperately wanted to agree with Hev, to shout run grabbing Velanus’ hand in his and dragging her back to the portal but his voice wouldn’t obey him despite his will and pleading “Ahhh come on Hev” he chuckled “no harm in having a look around we’ll make sure to keep the portal in view! Velanus’ right! This is a once in a lifetime you’know?”. Fella heart sank he knew what would happen next. “ok, ok fine!” Hev said with a grin, “but not too far and stick together!”. Next thing images flashed before Fellas eyes. The Shadow Aboleth dropping his stealth its lamprey like teeth dripping with fowl black spit. The three friends turning and running as fast as they could. The moment he heard the yell and turned his head to see Velanus falling to the ground sheer panic in her eyes. The last image was always the same Fella’s arm reaching out to grab Velanus’ hand just as the Monster bit down on her torso.
 
His eyes shot open, sweat dripping across his forehead, breath coming in short sharp gasps. He thought that at this point he should be used to it, reliving those memories of his past that forced him from his homeland. Velanus’ face flashed briefly before his waking eyes, her beauty always stunned him. Even now knowing that he’ll never see her again his heart broke.
