Game Sleepover

by "She who Walks the Wind" Megan Choctaw

The Bedroom of a moderate Mansion in Millennium City.
The large screen showed a perky, blue-eyed redhead, attempting to appear elegant as she sat stage right in a typical studio couch set with the camera on her pretty head and bare shoulders. “Today on 'Watching Over You', we are pleased to have Alasder Dell, head of Overwatch's medical division, safeguarding our health and well-being.”
“It is kind of you to have me, Julianne.” Mr. Dell nodded his handsome head. His long silver hair bobbed a little as he moved. His matching goatee and three-piece suit made him appear even more attractive than Julianne in some ways.
Megan was still impressed with the TV itself. “I can't believe you have a screen this big in your bedroom, Stacey,” She said over the TV guest.
“What else would I play games on?” Stacey shrugged.
“Our pleasure, Mr. Dell.” Julianne grinned warmly. “So few of our public seem to understand what you are doing to keep our world a wonderful place.”
“What you in the mood for?” Stacey asked as she opened her game cabinet.
“Please, Call me Alasder.” His fetching smile somehow out-shined hers despite being half the size. “At Overwatch Medical, doing our best to catch illness and mutation before it affects many of our citizens. This is especially important for our youth.”
Megan ignored the interview as she looked over Stacey's shoulder. “Saucerhead?” She frowned. “Frustration incarnate.”
Stacey laughed softly. “Yeah, I never did finish it. Mass Result?”
Julianne nodded in agreement. “You must have fascinating methods for catching instances of mutation before the subjects hurt themselves!”
Megan sat back a bit. “Never really tried any of those. May as well.”
Alasder chuckled. “Modern medicine at its finest.” He adjusted a cane that was leaning on his chair. “It is most crucial to help young mutants learn to use their powers as they were meant to be. Otherwise, they may end up some sort of shadow warrior or if a few meet on the street, form a rudimentary strike force that winds up harming others and in the most tragic of circumstances, teleporting themselves out of existence.”
Megan picked up a controller and smacked the palm of one hand with it. “C'mon, these talking heads are boredom personified.”
Stacey slipped the disc in and switched to screen over to the local feed. “That itching for Space Zombies, Eh?”
