Tired, Methodical, Curious, Caring. Jarden(Yohr-den) was a promising student of the arcane arts at the college in Nisiar until he was scouted into the Klif company. Seeing the way Nisiar treated those incapable of using magic, he was quick to abandon his classes in the city for the humble life of a mercenary in the Klif Company.

Physical Description
Jarden is an average height, thin framed Human with a light complexion. He maintains the bare amount of exercise to keep his body healthy, because of this he isn't quite as strong as the average human but is quite healthy.
Body Features
Jarden's skin is smooth to the touch, as he has used magic for all manner of things he has hardly lifted a finger in his life.
Facial Features
His angular face makes him appear somewhat older than he actually is, coupled with the short beard he has due to his laziness to keep himself well groomed.
Identifying Characteristics
Jarden has several scars, burn marks and acid marks all over his body under his cloak due to his uncontrollable magical talent.
Physical quirks
He is left-handed, an uncommon trait among humans.
Apparel & Accessories
Commonly seen in a grey cowl and cloak to keep himself either cool or dry. The light grey cowl keeps the desert sun's rays from singing his skin. Underneath his cloak is rather nice green robe he got back at the academy. The robe was originally white in color to signify his position as a student, but as soon as he was able to find a dyer he had the robes died green, his new favorite color after leaving the desert for the first time in his life.

Personal history
Born in the humble town of Preden, Jarden was escorted far away from his parents and hometown well before he could even speak. The boy was born with an obvious aptitude for magic, though none knew where it came from. Latent magical capability manifested in the child at an early age, and on occasion even dangerous spells. His father grew to fear him, but his mother wished for him to avoid the active witch hunts of Laelon. She knew all too well what his aptitude for magic meant, so she hired the Klif Company to escort her son far away from Laelon, into the great city of Nisiar.
At first the elves wanted nothing to do with the boy. They neither believed he possessed an aptitude for magic, nor had his mother sent him with any proof. It was only a matter of time until the strange phenomenons occurred again, and the curiosity of the Nisiarans got the better of them. They would take Jarden in and raise them in their academy for the arcane arts. Magic is all Jarden would grow to know, though he would be just as quiet and reserved as the rest he was known to be calm and friendly when approached. Many of the elves thought them his better, and indeed many certainly were.
As he progressed through his early life, Jarden's strange phenomenons grew more powerful, and potentially dangerous. Despite this, he was beginning to prove his worth in the academy, and soon began to test top of his class by his mid teens. Through hard work and study, he would catch the ire of Archmagus, Krisqirelle. He would be the first human in the academy to graduate top of his class and earn the title of Sage and move onto Nisiar's college for Arcane prodigies, though he was beginning to grow tired of Nisiaran society.
He had learned through his young life at the academy that those less fortunate with magic were treated less than mortal at times. Those who couldn't even keep up with the Nisiarans were treated like useless scraps. While the praise was nice, Jarden had grown weary of the city he had called home all his life. He was ready to move on with his life and perhaps travel to a distant realm when he was approached by a strange red-haired individual. The individual introduced himself as Kasvaar, leader of the Klif Company. He believed Jarden was destined for more than to just be another book boy for the Nisiarans. Jarden departed with Kasvaar to join the Klif Company and get as far away from Nisiar as possible. This would come as a great insult to Archmage Krisqirelle, who was personally invested in his endeavors in the academy. It was a risk Jarden was willing to take.
Education
Jarden attended arcane schooling in Nisiar for much of his life, eventually gaining the title of Sage for his Academy and then being personally invited to Nisiar's college by the Archmage. He only finished a year of college before leaving.
