Personal history

Walter Kensington grew up on the outskirts of Al Eddar. Not in the city proper, but within a day away. His family was farmers and he grew up helping on the farm with his parents, older brother, and younger sister. However, to his father's dismay and his mother's glee, Kingston took to books more than the farm. In fact, he was a little frail for farm work and not strong enough for many tasks. He was nimble and not sickly, just weak. And he could talk. Boy, he could talk.
 
But other than talk he read and learned. Walter was always interested in the Rift. How could someone loose 200 years? He studied the gods and history of the realm. He was fascinated by the scar, the fog, and all of, well, everything. And for this reason he left his farm and family, wit[/spoiler]h his parent's blessing, and went to Zigistad to get a formal education at the Bibliotori of Zigistad. From time to time he would visit home, but the farm life was not for him.
 
He excelled in school. And as he learned he found that to truly learn the books only held so much. He trained with Galinndan Wan in the field of history and archeology. In school he made some friends, other students of Wan mostly, who he spent most of his time with. He would go out and find ruins and learn what was there. He was nimble enough to delve into lost caverns and willing to learn. With that he joined a group, led by Professor Wan, to find some fabled ruins. The ruins of Bel'gomon, found in the scar itself.
 
The ruins of Bel'gomon were old, and no one really knew the story of what happened there. That is what they were gonna find out! Bel'gomon. seemed to be from the forming of the world. It was a small city that seemed to have fallen in on itself right at the scar, and no one knew why or how. Walter was interested since it might have information about the world in general and its secret history. With that the crew went and explored. The dig was weird. They found bodies, not buried but left where they were killed. A battle took place here, or at least a slaughter.

There he found his sword, and has since been traveling with it.
