Session 2: Introduction to the Mwangi Expanse Report

General Summary

The party started work on restoring Citadel Altaerein.  They have allowed the Bumblebasher goblins to stay in the Citadel and have decided to hire Warbel to be the Seneschal while they adventure abroad.  Work on repairing the walls has begun after the Keep was cleaned out and some basic repairs to furnishings was done.  Stonemasons were hired for the wall repairs.   Individuals befriended some folk in Breachill and attempted to do some odd jobs around town for extra income.   Renali asked the party to escort her through the Huntergate portal back to Mwangi.  The party did so 36 days after they defeated the last of the Cinderclaw Cultists in the Keep.   Upon entering the Huntergate portal the party felt they were in another dimension.  They found a trap inside of a fiery image of Dahak -- the dragon deity of destruction.  The party fled the image running for their lives to the other side of the portal but not before the image let lose a billow of flames, damaging them all.   Upon exiting the portal, the party found itself in the jungle of the Mwangi Expanse and surrounded by 20 Ekujae warriors -- arrows cocked and pointed at them.  They party fell to their knees and surrendered immediately.   The leader of the warriors -- Jahsi, engaged in talks with the party and things were settled peaceably.  Jahsi invited the party to their tree city -- Akrivel.  They party were escorted to the magnificent arboreal city and met Jahsi's daughter -- Nketiah.  She is the Leopard clan's linguist and is the party's escort and diplomatic contact with the Ekujae.   The party is currently waiting for a festival in their honor to begin, it would seem hours from when they arrived.  They are allowed to interact and explore Akrivel at their leisure until that festival begins.  They have already engaged in a dance game with some of the women called daikada.  All of the party were game enough to try out the dance and all were defeated save Popeye.  The Ekujae seemed most pleased that the newcomers were good sports and even able to defeat them at their own fun.   What other adventures await the party before the Festival starts?  And Nketiah has promised them a telling of a story after the feast that the party hopes will help them find the answers they seek about the Cinderclaw Cultists.
