Session 014 Report: New Friends & Fated Enemies Report

General Summary

Some of The Chosen read books on Arcana Hulgnir & Ollidak finished reading them gaining proficiency in Arcana. Euadne finished her first batch of spell copying. Increasing her spellbook greatly.   The spoke with Veronica about Sydon & she was very loyal to him. Euadne was concerned, as this seemed like Veronica could betrayed them or leave.   Oren now had a Copper Dragon Hatchling following him around, or stealing things out of people's things.   When they came up to the new Island they saw a silver Dragonborn with wings, & a male Amazon on the shore.   They introduced themselves (Jakkar & Theron) & it was discovered that they were on the Island of the Fates.   They quickly introduced each other & mentioned what Island they were on & some of the dangers.   A Manticore flew over when they were travelling to the center of the island.   The Fates. Three hideous hags, make a deal.   They could do tasks for the heroes:

1. Divination on up to thee islands of the Cerulean Gulf or Forgotten Sea.
2. Raise dead
3. Bestow experience, they would tell the tale Oren is forbidden to share.
4. Loom crafting (mention of gorgon blood being needed)
5. Tell their destiny clearly & simply

  John was told that his other item was on the Island of Yonder (Chondrous has it) & Hulgnir's item was in the hoard of the Dragon that slew Johns village.(edited) The Chosen, with new members boarded the Ultros.   Aurak, the Golden Dragonborn Quartermaster on the Ultros gave the new members a tour of his stores & they equipped themselves with the spare equipment they could find.   Hulgnir consulted with Versi about his dreams of being blocked by the symbol of the Gygan in his visions. She thought it could be where the gear is, & suggested setting course there.   The Chosen set off for the Constellation of the Gygan on that advice. Versi told the Chosen she could see more sbout their fates: Oren was saved by Mytros & he needed to free the souls of his family by shattering Lutheria’s scythe.   Veronica was fated to die three times & wouldn't ressurect a third time until after Lutheria died.   Jekkar she was happy to see him. She gave him a Crown of the Dragonlords. She told him that his armor is in the hands of Gaius, he keeps it in his room on the Island. She told him of a vision she had of him with a Bronze Dragon egg. Jekkar checked his pack & realized he forgot he already had one. He requested a separate room.   Theron she had to take time to mull it over & meditate.   Volkan delivered: (for Theron) a pair of goggles of the night, & a ring, right before they hit land.   They had several conversations on where to go to after they finished with whatever Island the Gygan constellation lead to.   Kyrah suggested:

• The Golden Heart (It's where Thylea’s Tree is said to be)
• Island of the Exiles
• Fire Island (Someone there has prayed to me for help & you are just the ones who could.)

  Pythor suggested

• Island of the Chimera (fight a Chimera)
• Indigo Island (Fight a Dragon)
• Fire Island (Fight fire)
• The Golden Heart (Hunt animals & relax)
• Themis (Take back the throne on a dragon)

  Then go to the Forgotten Sea.   Versi suggests Dragon Island then seeking a trainer to bring to the Island of Time to train their Dragon's. Euadne suggested using a slowed time field they could use a year of that time, as she assumed 5-10 years, to have on the Ultros: a permanent Teleportation Circle, a couple of areas with full private sanctums. I assume Guards & Wards, when that is reached.   Oren wants to go everywhere, so long as they face Lutheria soon. Though you will have to eventually get more food with 10+ people the 60 rations you started with are about 30-20, if my mental math is correct.   After three days the Chosen came to an Island.   They were quickly seen by Sydon’s forces & were attacked. Veronica stayed out of combat.   The party fought off twenty soldiers, their leader, a Gorgon mount, & a Gygan. Only temporarily losing Pyra. Who was stabilized by an Amazon Kite Stimfay.   Euadne used Fireball & Haste for the first time. Ollidak used Shatter for the first time.   The alarm bells in the distance announced to the Chosen that Sydon's forces knew that they had arrived on the Island of Yonder.
