Session 041: The next 25 years: The Gem Dragon Draco book & children Report

General Summary

Euadne's research turned up the location of the Gem Draco book was hidden after it was completed. In the Dragon Barrow. She also learnt that 3 of the remaining books had been given to the ones who hid the Divine Artefacts ||from Damon||.
Hulgnir had a vision of a Giantess covered in lava, he assumed to be Chalcia, with a red book.

Theron went out on his own with his Pegasus looking for the Dragon Barrow. Eventually he found it & discovered the most likely place for an entrance, near the spine at the head.

Inside they found Ghouls. After a tough fight they found 2 more Dragon books, & the Draco Gemi book. They gave that to Neptune, to use with Pyra.

Notes

Draco Monumentum Gemi   Description This book comes in five varieties, one for each metallic color. Each has a unique name, according to the metallic dragon that it details; Draconis Monumentum Metalli refers to the collection as a whole. The books share general properties, and each copy has its own abilities, given below. If you possess the whole collection, their power combines and gives you further power.   Legendary Resistance. For each book that you have on your person, you gain one use of Legendary Resistance. Any time you fail a saving throw, you can choose to succeed instead. You regain all uses at the end of each long rest.   *Sapphire: Greater Psychoportation
Prerequisite: Psychoportation, must be Adult or older.
The dragon further develops its psionic powers, granting it the following benefits:
*The dragon can cast misty step at will.
*The dragon gains the ability to innately cast counterspell without expending a spell slot, but only to counter teleportation spells. When cast in this way, counterspell also counters other teleportation effects that are not spells (such as Shadow Step from the Monk Way of Shadow).
  *Spell: Misty Step
*Spell: Counterspell

*Topaz: Greater Psychometabolism
Prerequisite: Psychometabolism, must be Mature Adult or older.
The dragon can sustain itself purely by using its psionic power, and no longer has to eat, drink, or sleep.
*Amethyst: Advanced Telepathy (Also telepathy 120 feet)
Prerequisite: Telepathy.
The dragon can read the surface thoughts and emotions of any creature within 120 feet of it that it is aware of. An affected creature doesn't know of the dragon's presence or that anything is probing its thoughts.
In addition, saving throws made to resist the dragon's charms are made with disadvantage.

*Obsidian: Supreme Metacreativity
Prerequisite: Metacreativity, Planar Travel, must be Adult or older.
The dragon develops its innate psionic abilities. It gains the following benefits:
*When the dragon casts creation using its Metacreativity ability, it is not limited to choosing vegetable matter as the material. In addition, it can cast the spell three times per day rather than once.
*The dragon can innately cast the create food and water and hold person spells once per day each without expending a spell slot or requiring material components.
*Spell: Create Food and Water
*Spell: Hold Person
*Emerald: Clairsentience
Prerequisite: must be a emerald dragon, must be Juvenile or older.
The dragon's psionic ability gives it a greater awareness of its surroundings. As a result, it gains the following benefits:
*The dragon can see in all directions.
*While it is conscious, the dragon cannot be surprised and can add its proficiency bonus to initiative rolls.
Dragonfriend. You have advantage on Persuasion ability checks to interact with dragons of the same gemstone as the book(s) you carry.   Draconis Monumentum Gemi. If you possess the entire collection, all five books can be merged into a single tome. While you possess this tome, you gain the following abilities:

  • *You can cast each of the spells offered by the individual books, without providing material components, once per long rest.
  • *You have resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning, psychic, and radiant damage.
  • *When you take acid, cold, fire, lightning, or radiant damage, you can choose to gain immunity to that damage type for that attack. Once used, this ability cannot be used again until you finish a long rest.
  • *You have advantage on Persuasion ability checks to interact with gem dragons.
  • *You have advantage on saving throws made against the breath weapons of gem dragons.
  • *You gain the ability to command gem dragons. When you use this ability, you can effectively dominate a metallic dragon, and it must obey your commands for up to an hour. A dragon will never obey obviously harmful or suicidal orders. If the dragon is Adult or older, it can attempt a Wisdom saving throw to resist your commands. The DC for this throw is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier. When the effect wears off, or if the dragon succeeds its saving throw, the dragon's attitude toward you may (probably will) worsen, depending on how you treated it and the reason you had to dominate it. Once you use thi ability, you must wait 7 days before you can use this ability again.

Destroying Draco Monumentum Gemi. Draco Monumentum Gemi is immune to all damage. In order to destroy the volume as a whole, it must be exposed to the breath weapons of all five metallic dragons simultaneously.

Each individual volume is immune to all damage. In order to destroy an individual volume, it must be targeted by the breath weapon of the dragon it details. This dragon must be at least Ancient.
