Session 079: Frostmaiden: Doom of Ythryn & Ice Prophet & Primordial Report
General Summary
They stopped & cast some spells: Haste, Heroes' Feast, & Beacon of Hope. They Teleported Akuma to Pyra's realm on Elysium.
They met a demilich at the end of the bridge & Euadne recognized the demilich. Not wanting to face it she traded it safe harbour for information if the city could be savlaged, it couldn't. Much to Euadne's great disappointment.
They flew through the city coming up onto the Dragon Lair used by Auril as her base of operations. The Ice Primordial a furry creature with several tentacles blast out an aura of exhaustion, & brought the cold.
They were able to take out the Ice Elementals with a well placed Dark Star, by Jekkar.
Auril's first form was defeated by Hyakinthos, empowering him with one of Auril's Divine Ranks. Auril's second form was defeated by Pyra earning him a Divine Rank, & Jekkar defeated Auril's Third & Final form earning him a Divine Rank.
Cryonax The Bleak Monarch was defeated by Anora, earning her a Divine Rank.
Zeus, Horus-Ra, Oghma, & Odin appeared to them & time froze. Oghma congratulated them on restoring balance & granted them their Divine Rank reward. As well as a gift of being able to wild shape into animals related to their portfolio. They then proceeded to inform them that, Ao was torn to shreads by Tharizdun & is now dead. They suggested to the party that they fight each other & the winner would become the Overgod. The one reponsible for their pantheon & the one who would be above all the rest. Odin & Horus-Ra favoured Jekkar due to him being tied to death & death being an anthromorphic personification as well. Oghma favoured Theron, & Odin Hulgnir for their respective nature & war connections.
They were taken to their home plane, time resumed & the center of Ice power in the prime materal plane disappeared. Zeus gifted them with Alter Size. Zeus promised that when they finished that & finished their business in the Shadowfell with his oldest brother they would be blessed with a Divine Rank.
They then went to the prime material plane, found several leaders & the following had children:
- Jekkar
- Theron
- Hulgnir
- Veronica
- Ollidak
- Nikomedes
- Adne
- Apollo
- Sapherios
- Smagd
- Arkrania
- Oren
The Egyptian Pantheon needed four Djinn Lords sealed up, they are all currently making issues on the prime material plane in the Southlands. They can't be killed, they need them alive so that they can use mortals in the future to defeat them. Meet with Anubis on the Astral plane, for Ao's funeral amongst other things. The Egypitan pantheon promised a Divine Rank, & the ability to alter parts of ones body. (Allowing for wild shaping head, human body etc.)
They decided to face themselves before splitting into two groups, one to take on the rest of the Greek Quest of seeing Hades.
Hulgnir sees two visions: The first of Aetheria fighting Versi & the Raven Queen. The second of fighitng, & a woman of light.
The Four Overgods told them the rules of their battle:
- Last one standing will be raised to Overgod.
- Nothing can teleport outside the arena, with no limitations on summoning.
