Ep04: Pfizer Trauma Team Debrief

General Summary

Pfizer Trauma Team Debrief -- Ye, William, Sgt

DECLASSIFIED. CONTENTS SENSITIVE. DO NOT DISTRIBUTE.
This document pertains to a strike on a Pfizer-Monsanto Krankenwagen delivery made on August 26, 2048. Several state-of-the-art cybernetic and wetware implants were damaged during the altercation, and final delivery of the materiel was partially completed. This document contains excerpts from a debriefing of the sole survivor of the incident, Sergeant William Ye, and related materials.

Excerpts from the Debriefing

"Technician Seftia Pfizota and I arrived at Changi T5 late, due to in-flight delays, and met the Krankenwagen at the designed waiting area, as planned. We secured the goods in the back and left Seftia to tend to it. I moved to ride in the passenger seat, but at this point, I was instructed by the KW driver to get in the back as well. I thought nothing of it at the time...   "... We were late and I knew the cargo was environmentally sensitive...   "Yes, I realize it was a breach of protocol. I didn't want to cause further delays by arguing the point."

"And then we were turning off the highway. I knew something was wrong. We were only... maybe 10 minutes out from the airport, so we couldn't have arrived just yet.   "There was a hiss in the cabin and Technician Seftia dropped to the ground. I felt dizzy and smelled something sharp in the air. Someone just gassed us! My bionics must have kicked in. I discharged my weapon and tried to break through into the driver's cabin, and managed to scar off the 'driver'. At some point, I must have radioed in."

"Someone had seized control of the Krankenwagen..."   "Yes, I'm aware of the manual override. I tried it, and it didn't work. Someone had seized control of the rig. The assailants fired from the autotaxi. There were three of them. We exchanged fire and one of them managed to get to the rear door."   "Yes, of course we had locked the door. They must have unlocked it remotely somehow. I was able to deploy the ████████████, which neutralized him for several minutes."

"And then we were locked in a protracted firefight. I was hit several times, but I kept them from gaining access to the ████████. When it became clear that they would not win, one of the assailants fired an automatic weapon through the trauma triage area. That was when Technician Seftia was killed and the ███ was destroyed."

"That's correct, the motorcycle gang arrived subsequently, but they did not linger long with other Krankenwagens closing in. I didn't get a good count on them, at least 4 or 5."

Outcomes

Sergeant Ye was hospitalized at Pfizer-NUH and placed on medical leave pending internal investigation. If cleared, he has been recommended for commendations for courage and bravery under fire, and earmarked for year-end bonus pending performance review.

Note from Tangerang Augmentative Biology Center

The package was intended for delivery to ██████, and contained military grade cyberware implants. Our client confirms delivery of the two ██████████████ implants, and will proceed with integration and testing. However, we are unable to replace the damaged █████████████until the next prototype batches are completed in █████████.

CC'ed from Temasek CERTIS Urban Surveillance
