Explosion at Boon Lay Warehouse.

Organized Crime Connections Suspected
Published July 9, 2049   Residents of Boon Lay and Jurong East were woken late last night by the sound of an explosion in the Automated Docks as a large fire engulfed several warehouses. SCDF crews were on scene within minutes to combat the blaze. Certis officials cordoned off the area and the fire was brought under control by 3AM.   Officials have announced that eight bodies were found within the wreckage of one warehouse. This was seen as highly unusual as the warehouse area is fully automated. Several locals have claimed seeing unusual volume of activity around the warehouse block earlier in the week.   The cause of the explosion is as yet unknown but deemed suspicious at this time. Sources close to the investigation have revealed that three of the bodies had gunshot wounds, and two were identified as known fugitives from the Pearl River Special Economic Zone. It is unclear how they have made their way onto the island. Netizens echo worries that trouble brewing overseas may cause an influx of crime to the island. We have reached out to SATS for comment, but they have declined to provide further details due to the ongoing investigation.   Elisa Mok (Ms.)   Updated (July 11): Netizens have posted images of a battered Disney-Amazon autotruck entering the warehouse area and leaving Boon Lay subsequent to the explosion. The authenticity of these images are unconfirmed at this time. Certis officials are aware of and actively investigating sources. Individuals with any additional information should contact the appropriate authorities.

In all the recent hubbub surrounding the fire in Boon Lay, this anonymous Stomper's recording from Woodlands might have gone unnoticed.   The video seems to show what appears to be an accident as an autonomous Disney-Amazon truck pulling off the KJE. The truck drifts out of lane and falls into a drainage canal before careening spectacularly off the road.

But wait, what's this? A survivor? Look carefully and you can the debris move at 0:12... it's a figure getting back up. Wah lao! But before we find out what happens, a brilliant light show descends from the sky -- a B-MAX helicopter from Boeing (you can see the tail markings at 0:38). It looks like soldiers repelling coming down on ropes... maybe to search for the survivor!   Things quickly get heated as a second truck arrives on the scene. This one is a Mercedes (you can see the grill if you turn down the brightness). Then gunfire breaks out! There are only flashes of light on screen, but you can definitely hear it on the audio.   At this point, our Stomper wisely seeks cover. But at 1:53, you can see the Mercedes is barely visible as a fiery ruin underneath a whole lot of smoke. But the B-MAX is nowhere to be seen! Did it get the survivor? Is Boeing violating our sovereignty? Or maybe tomorrow we find it is just an elaborate exercise? It is anyone's guess!
