Earth Year Unknown. All history has been lost to the Maelstrom. ancient cities cover the planet, and most avoid them nothing good comes from these ruins. The full story is unknown, The Maelstrom opened in the north what was once known as Canada. engulfing a great deal of the country. When the Maelstrom opened The moon was broken by the force of energy. With the Maelstrom came other races Elves, Orcs, and many others. Magic became common place replacing the technology that once was.   It has been 2000 years at least since the Maelstrom opened spreading outward, and covering the planet. Magic for lack of better term spread through the planet like a virus. bringing forth new races which weren't seen before. Those who could remember.   The humans who were once scattered among the planet now found themselves with races that could live longer, more magically potent and physically stronger. Humans were no longer the top species on the planet.
