During the fight, Surges makes it to the back of the house and sees more bandits outside, and notices a young aquea elf, much older but very much resembling his daughter, Ani, but being called Nakora. She and some bandits managed to pack up many of the crates, and take off while other bandits held Surge and others in the house. Eventually, putting down the resistance and attempt to interrogate one getting little out of them. Searching the barn they found crates about person size, covered in rune. Ewan attempt to pry one open, setting off a trap and nearly killing himself in the process, but killing the poor soul that was trap within the box, finding a charred and blackened body inside. Searching the house, they find a wand on one of the sergeants, that may control the crates runes. Continuing to search the place they find stocks of supplies, a crafting area with a few carpentry and alchemical benches some strange black power and pieces of plans that don't make sense. Plans for the construction of the boxes is found on the carpentry table. Further searching leads to the room that may have house the commanders of the farmhouse. They find sixteen suits of Sherborne town guard garb as well as boxes of loot that may be from the victims. In the room, they also find a chest with a stack of shipping manifests signed by Methander Amatascia. The dates for Sherborne all being before the disappearance in town. The once from the two other towns being few and more spread out, no more than 1 or 2 at on a single date with days between. The chest also contained many discarded spellbook, one obviously Giselle's and couple sets of Otemus Robes. Finding the identify spell in one of the books and the materials on hand scribe spells, Mirielle starts crafting an Identify scroll. With so many fresh kills, Asai gets a call for souls from his patron, and without anyone around manages to sacrifice many souls to the Fathomless. Surge, still lost in thoughts and memories find a place to rest in the barn.
