Part I: Getting the Band Back Together

General Summary

At the start of Aurum, Jinx was preparing a break-in at Protector Base Gamma, the storehouse for information on all dangerous people. She was keeping tabs on everyone and everyone she needed to, from her former criminal associates to her potential enemies.   Hacking past the facial scanner to get into the database, she later scours all information on the The Black Dawn, Isabella Cromoni, and V. In this sweep, she learns two pieces of very shocking news. For one, Balasar Blackwater was still alive, being housed in Protector Compound: Aqua along with dozens of other high profile enemies of the Protectors. She also learns Avaahn Casper's exact location, and with her knowledge of hacking, realizes that Avaahn's location had already been hacked into and downloaded; an ability she thought only she had. She escapes in a hurry after the base goes no lockdown, after gaining the Head Protector's appearance in an encounter with Aleesia Nailo.   Jinx spends the next few days traveling in the new motorcycle variant of the Nightrunner, hurrying to Avaahn Casper's location before whoever stole that information. Upon arrival, Avaahn met her as an enemy, until she revealed her identity as his former ally. Avaahn invited Jinx inside and they spoke of the danger he was in, as well as Balasar's actual fate.   Shortly, Evaahn Casper arrived and realized that the house was surrounded. Isabella Cromoni rang the doorbell, with a small army of some elite Vallandian police, calling Avaahn out of the house. Evaahn was able to escape, whereas Avaahn and Jinx hid in a rope trick until Jinx was able to summon the Nightrunner for an easy escape. Before driving off, they kidnapped one of the supposed police officers for interrogation, learning that these "police officers" were actually just disguised mobsters, and that Cromoni was after Casper for the murder of her "sweetheart".   The two decided to break Blackwater out of prison, beginning their operation in a Protectors outpost containing a teleportation circle into the base. After a few complications with Blackwater's pent-up rage, the party was able to escape the prison before shutting it down to a bunch of escaped supervillains. Before the Elite Protectors were able to arrive, the band, back together, drove far away from any Protectors.
