Session 0: Introduction Report

General Summary

Overall rules were discussed. Character sheets were finalized. The party had a discussion about the world at large so we could finalize details about our backstories and figure out where our starting point would be for session 1. It was decided that we would run a weekly game at 6pm on Saturday, our starting location would be the Underdark in the province of Kéntro with the goal of establishing a trade outpost for a sizable reward of rare and expensive enchanted metals. The adventure will start with three characters at level 5 and we will use the "drag one" character rule variant that has been decided upon with milestone experience for level-ups. The sessions will be carried out with a survivalist mindset as the group attempts to set up an outpost in the Underdark and attract others that will eventually take over for them so that the outpost can succeed without their presence.   The task must be done in 6 months' time in order to be a success and the group spent time spending up to 5,000 gold coins in start-up materials and adventuring gear to help them gain a foothold in the Underdark. They also hired both a cook and a mail carrier though the later would only meet up with their outpost once every seven days to transport goods, money, and correspondence throughout the Underdark and to the surface on behalf of them. After this point, the Underdark article was started on so that the characters would have a point of reference for common knowledge about the area.
