The Silver Ring Report

General Summary

The party left Haram Bay with a lot of questions. Who is this new threat, How did he find them and how do they keep the Vemoraxx off them while getting the rest of the rings.   Willie Knabb recognized the man and believe he is her younger brother, who was taken by the vemoraxx as he was the third child born to her parents. She had not even thought about him for years as he was taken when we was still very young.   As to how he found them, he taunted the group mentioning how the asimar in Hilston did last long under his administrations. The party used the amulet to teleport to Hilston where they found Brenlia. She had been captured by the inquisitor and had broken under torture. Fortunately Dylan and The Resistance was able to set her free before the Vemoraxx to do any further harm. She was taken back to the Mistra by Trevayn.   The party discovered that the vomoraxx has been looking for them for some time. Now that the Order of the Platinum Dragon is said to have returned and killed two dragon, the Vemoraxx has been lookign to put a stop to them before it goes any further. They have not only been going through the cities of Emic, arresting anyone who might possibly know anything, they tasked an Inquisitor with finding the group. The Vemoraxx Inquisitor are very dangerous and ruthless. This one was able to track down the party from a story in Halan all the way to Brenlia and then to Haram Bay, where he confronted the group. Fortunately they got away.   Now knowing that the Vemoraxx are on to them, the party has to be even more careful. Their search for the Silver Ring took them to Freeport, where they snuck into the city and visited the The Society chapter house there. They learned that Charles Riven, the pirate that was given the Silver Ring had become a society member and was last seen on an expedition to Castle Altidstark, A frost Giant stronghold in the Icewall. They were able to get a detailed accounting of his expedition plans, and used their ship to follow his route. They also mat a group of performers who had heard about Carados exploits and wanted to join him on his mission to stop the vemoraxx. He took their leader but left the rest of them in Freeport for now.   They made their way into the lands of snow and ice, and actually spotted the castle, when a large boulder, launched by a catapult struck their ship. The boulder hit the casing of the air stone, and ship started to fall. Carados' new companion, Bongar was able to get to the stone and use it to slow the ships fall. It hit the snow with a crash but everyone was alright. The repairs would take some time, so the party decided to move on, and first find out who had attacked them, and then make their way to the castle.   Not long before they headed out, the ground started to rumble underneath them, and a large worm-like creature, emerged from the snow.

  The Group tackled the creature head on, as they knew there was no way to escape it. They were aided by a Dwarf hunter, who happened to be tracking the beast. After they managed to kill it, they spoke with the dwarf who said his name was Njolgar, and he came from the Dwarven Stronghold of Gorodon. When the group told him where they were going he offered to join them as the Frost Giants have always been a foe of the Dwarves, but they had not heard from them in some time. Together they trekked north towards the Stronghold.   During the trek they fell into a tunnel that had been left a great worm, and found the remina of some of Charles' party. They did not find charles though, and assumed he ,ust have carried on. They made their way to the castle, and entered through a large open door. What they found they did not expect. The castle was filled with undead giants.

While fighting their way through they found the body of traveler and his notes. He had come to the castle with Kyle Hale, searching for Arthur Daventree, a powerful Vampire Sorcerer who had killed Kyle's father on Coral Reef. When they got to the castle, they discovered that daventee had left but not before turning the Front Giant King into a Vampire himself. Kyle, went after Daventree, but some of the group stayed to clay the Frost Giant King, and unfortunately were not successful.

The Party looking for the king, assuming he now had the Silver ring encountered a powerful white dragon, which they were able to defeat. They also found evidence that the King had dealing with the Vemoraxx, and was gather powerful allies to attack the Dwarven Stronghold.
