Something's Strange in Freeport Part 1 Report

General Summary

Orm Redleap asked the party to come see him and he was not happy. He found out the party had broken Chipper out of the vaults, and that had not been part of thier deal. He told the group if they did something for him he would forget call it square. One of the Sydicate's allies' daughter went missing and the party was to look into it.   The party went to see the Mercant Erdal Vera, whose daughter Audette had been missing for a couple of days. She was a student at the Freeport Institute.   They went to the institute to talke to her Roomate Carlotta, and her Professor Junicas who noticed she had not attended classes for a few days. There they discovered she had recently been spending time with a young noble named Conrad Pennington. Conrad was a student at the Institute as well and had grown close to Aurette. He also had recently become a member of an alternate weapon academy called the Feral Blades. This group was demanding a lot of his time and evetually Conrad had broken things off with Aurette days before her dissapearance.   The players went to the Feral Blades to talk to Conrad, and learned that he had last seen Aurette just a few days before her dissapearance. They had had a fight, as Aurette didn't like his new school and had heard rumors tha they were some type of cult from the old seer Papuza Slintari in Tent Town, A fortune teller and card reader, whom Aurette had known for some time. She demanded he leave the school, and he refused and broke off thier relationship. He had not seen her since. Before he could say much more, the rest of the student intevened, fearing that the party was causing trouble with thier friend and tried to goad them into a duel. The party resisted though, and left the school. They intended to seek the Fortune teller to see if she had any ideas about the whereabouts of Aurette.

Erdal Vera - A merchant of freeport payign protection to the HBA. Hi daughter is missing and he asked the HBA to look into it. Carlotta - Aurette's roomate and a "party girl". She told the party about Auretes relatioinship with Conrad, and his involvement with the Feral Blades. She seemed to know a bit more than she was telling though. Conrad Pennington - Aurette Ex-botfriend. He broke it off with Aurette a few days before she dissapeared because she did not approve of all the time he was spending at the Feral Blades, and how he was putting everythign else in his life second to that group. Master Juicas - A professor at the academy. He said Aurette was a good student but had been distracted for several weeks. He blamed it on her beign seen with a young man around the institute.
