September 1877

General Summary

A pare of Justicar's arrive in Venice in order to inspect the security of the city prior to the Meeting of the Inner Circle.   In Elysium Seraphima greets the Justicar's and has Anestasia show them to their lodgings, when she does so she notices that one of the Achons is missing, she tracks him down to her study and confronts Rodger as he is poking about. He is an unpleasant individual who has no respect for personal property.   During the meeting between Prince Seraphima, the Justicar's and the Primogen there is an explosion out in the street.   Silas, Sinclare, Graham and Odgers head out to investigate. Out in the street they find a blown up tax office and some revolutionary slogans painted on a nearby wall. It seems like this is a kine affair but it might bring too much attention to the city at an inopportune time so they set out to other likely targets.   At the Customs house they find there is someone inside. they sneak up on the building and hear people moving around on the 1st floor. Graham decides to sneak in up the outside while Silas creeps up the stairs. Unfortunately silas is heard and one of the people inside starts shooting at him down the stairs. Graham breaks into the first floor and cuts down a couple of humans by surprise. Silas manages to shoot one of them and dashes upstairs when Graham tells him there is a bomb.   Seeing the device on the floor Silas crouches down and begins working on it attempting to disarm it, things do not go well and he lobs it out of the window where it explodes over the canal.   They investigate the area and then head over to the arsenal, there they meet with one of silas contacts. Working with the Guards they manage to apprehend a couple of would be bombers. interrogating them reveals that a man named Francesco has been recruiting rebels recently.   Back at Elysium they make there report. Graham uses his powers so that Seraphima and Mr Hawkins can have a private conversation, wherein Mr Hawkins quizzes her about the fact that she has an Assamite working for her and what steps she is taking to safeguard her city from him and his kind. (No-one else in the room hears this conversation.)
