Session 13: Finding the Next Clue Report

General Summary

The gang was in the heat of battle with the Blue Feathered man's henchmen. During the fight, the last remaining henchmen dropped a bomb inside Dale and Kathy's house. The gang made a break for it to get out of the house as fast as possible! An attempt was made to grab Kathy on the way out to save her life, however, the gang had to leave her behind. A large portion of the mansion exploded, but miraculously, Kathy barely survived.    Kathy was pulled from the rubble, leaving the smashed corpse of Dale behind, and her wounds were bandaged. The Mayor's police for was heard in the distance and the gang decided to make a break for it. They headed towards the nearest park to speak to Kathy further. Upon making it to the park, a police officer stopped the gang and told them they were requested at the Mayor's office immediately.    The gang accepted the invitation, however, did not come immediately. It was time to question Kathy. Kathy was an exceptionally good liar and it was difficult to tell the truth from lies. With the help of Carver, Kathy eventually told the gang that her part in the missing boy's roll was that they purchased the boy from The Dungeon, brought him back to their mansion only for a few days, and met a stranger who picked up the boy and left. All parties were wearing masks during the exchange and there was no communication. Kathy swore that was all she knew.   The gang then brought Kathy to the Mayor's office, where they told the Mayor certain aspects of what they knew. The Mayor also had a criminal inside his office, who had guards on either side of him. He was recognized as the Cuscus thief that they had a short interaction with during their travels from Faint Valley to Pleasant.    After a brief exchange with the Mayor, the thief was ordered out of his office, and to take him to the jail cells. As the thief was pushed towards the door, the thief said that he knew where the missing boy was; to which the Mayor disregarded as an attempt to be saved from prison. The session ended.
