Session 20: Fear Naut for the Squid is Dead Report

General Summary

18th of Rolier 1524   The boat is attack by a giant squid and many kuo-toa. Lyra got grabbed by a tentacle and was badly hurt, but was helped by Xeldarix and Karl while taking out some of the creatures. While Reign, Lily and Fargrim dealt with another group. After the fight it was discovered that the crew had been battling more of these creatures and defeated them.   Most of the group went back to bed, while Xeldarix stayed up on deck keeping watch.   In the morning everyone woke up in their own time. Karl, Fargrim and Lyra got breakfast. Lily sparred with Xeldarix on deck and Reign stayed with Simone when she claimed to be feeling unwell. Fargrim after breakfast went to help in the infirmary. Slowly the group got together to plan, Fargrim diagnosed Simone with withdrawal.   Simone does a reading for the group. The question is “Is Wade Locktree being manipulated beyond his will by the powers of the devil?”   Cards Pulled:

• Lady Luna’s Magick Synchronise Lunar Time & Energy 32: There is a werewolf on this card howling up at the moon. In a pool of water there is a girl in the wolf’s place as she looks up at the moon. In the reflection the girl is covered in blood just as the wolf is.
• Morgan le Fey Healing 9: There is a lady standing in a lake under the moonlight. In one hand she holds a sword and the other hand is over her heart. In the water there are shadows. Some might be bodies, and some might be monsters.
• The Lovers Love Each Other 3: A couple (waist up) sit together. The female sits in front of the male and he has his arms around her. It is a peaceful scene and they look happy, but the clouds in the background… do they look like skulls with the tone work?

Simone says:   Wade Locktree does not understand this new beginning in his life and does not question it as he moves into the next stage of his life. The devil is using him to take shelter from the storm she has been trapped in for some time as she takes in her new situation and the opportunities it presents. Their relationship is full of manipulation, but not just from the two of them but also outside forces as she bends him to her will.   When the boat got into Saarmen the group seperated. Lyra went to go buy a cart. Reign and Fargrim made their way to Bloody Fang Inn after Reign bought a helmet. Lily went off on her own. Lyra returned with the cart to take Karl, Simone and Good to the inn as she directed the horses with ease. Xeldarix got off the boat last.   The group had lunch at the inn before separating again. Simone let Xeldarix in through the window so she wasn't seen coming into the building. Fargrim and Lyra stayed at the inn. Karl and Reign went to see Lord Harris Airtow. He was in meetings and they had to come back at a later time. Lily went to the Scarlet Candle to get a room and lunch before going to Ela's Suppression of Shadows to try and join the church, but was turned down. In the end she goes to the Dagger and Bell guild, signing up for a week long training.   Reign and Karl returned to Lord Harris' manor and spoke with Harris. Reign revealed who she was and discussed what happened to Lady Sasha. Harris reveals that Todor has worked for him for years and was recommended by Morningsteel himself. When the two go to leave Todor is standing outside the door waiting for them. He leads them outside where they head for the shops. Karl and Reign noticed they are being followed by a group of three and a short person. Karl turns Reign and himself invisible to escape them.   They turned visible again and went clothes shopping to better disguise themselves. They then go to Wade's manor to meet Wade and Anita. In the end was invited to stay for dinner. In the powder room Reign and Anita had a frank discussion and came to an agreement.   Name changes:
