Starworld 2: The Sewers Report

General Summary

The party received a job to recover some missing Czerka employees who had been in the Undercity when they vanished. They investigated and learned other locals had also been going missing, eventually tracking them to the sewers.    Once below they found a group of the citizens being escorted by a gang of white maw pirates. They fought the pirates and freed the citizens. Once they returned to the surface the citizens were able to tell them roughly where they had been taken, and which way they were headed.     The party returned to the sewers and tracked down the pirate lair.   First dealing with a patrol, which provided them information on where the other pirates and their captives were at. They then attacked the lair and subdued the remaining pirates before learning that some of the captives had been experimented on. They found a secret door to the laboratory being used, but upon opening the door they were attacked by strange creatures from within. A battle ensued in which one of the captives was attacked and one of the pirates they had taken prisoner was killed.   The party managed to close the door and cut off the remaining monsters, but then learned the monsters had actually been some of the captives they were seeking, transformed by some sort of disease. The Jedi member felt the dark side of the force coming from the lab and the decision to keep it sealed was made.   Before further plans could be made the party discovered the other pirate patrols were being summoned back to their location and they had to flee to save the captives. But not before an argument ensured about the remaining pirate prisoner, which resulted in Oren Skye shooting him in cold blood rather than risk him being able to alert his friends as they made their escape.   Upon returning to the Guild with Janet and the other captives they were given a heroes welcome by the locals. In addition, Czerka offered to pay the full reward despite several of their employees not being recovered.

Notes

Harry, a local family man, nearly had his arm chewed off by one of the monsters. Oren Skye was able to save his life, but he will never use that arm again.
