Into the Blighted Forest
The party, after finding some odd arcane-like burn markings on the tree, went into the forest with Captain Havre.
The Abandoned Rangers
The party came across a trio of wounded soldiers ordered by Lieutenant Valerian to investigate the area. To their horror, there was no relief from their superior for he went back to Divinterre. After he inquired, the party believed it best that Captain Havre escort the wounded back to the village.
Woodland Skirmishes
Whatever this blight curse had done, the wildlife was attacked by the animated blight creatures. A set ambush of twig blights had pounced the party but was slain with ease.
Copse Blight
Guarding the twisted copse was a branch blight that fought tooth and nail to keep it intact. The creature was defeated alongside its twig and needle blight minions.
Return to Portogne
Once back in the village, Captain Havre explains the change in air about an hour before the party arrived. He and the rest of the village assume the party must have overcome whatever was there. Regardless, Havre is content that Portogne is safe. The Captain also makes room for the party to rest for the night in the village.
