Since King Eamon’s death, his nephew Cledwyn has sat upon the throne, cruel, brazen, and wildly incompetent. Already poor and provincial, the Kingdom of Palthear has fallen into disrepair and conflict.
Nowhere is this more true than the western Barony of Sathorn. Bandits roam overgrown roadways, monsters emerge from the trackless wilds, and something dark stirs in the ancient ruins of Andalbrass deep within the Gwydyr forest. It is rumored that the Baron of Sathorn and his line are dead, ill, or have gone mad, and the villagers of the small towns that dot the fiefdom fear for their lives.
The party has arrived at the small, threatened logging town of Trent, after guarding a caravan sent to aid it. It is here that the true story begins.
