Of Wax and Wendigoes

Tasked with making a simple delivery, a small band of adventurers became sucked into a series of plots and counterplots that pit mostly human colonists on the newly discovered continent of Gethen against native tribes of orcs and goblinoids that seek to liberate their lands and push the invaders back into the sea. But the struggle itself is only one small part of a protracted war between the partisans of the Erkönig - the titular king of the elves - and those who seek to break free of his tutelage - on the old continent of Erya. The fight of the colonies to survive and expand is also somehow connected to an ancient, long-forgotten war that split the elves into two irreconcilable factions.   The multilayered and multicornered conflict has resulted in the fact that the original band has split up. There are now several adventuring parties operating on the East Coast of Gethen, each professing different allegiances.
