The City-State of Shore is the trade capital of the world, boasting a centralized location to all major cities along the Western Coast of the mainland, distributing goods from Dustveil, Mistveil, Sonkun, and even the fabled Fire Maze.
But all is not well in Shore.
On the other side of the continent, in the port city of Ari, a representative of the illustrious mercenary guild, The Zhentarium Guard, is seeking adventurers to answer the summons of Cato Owlston, the enigmatic Lord of Shore, who is seeking fighters to clear out an infestation of kikimore from a silver mine close to the city that he plans to reopen.
A party of adventurers boards The Claymore, one of three ships in Lord Owlston's most trusted fleet, The Braid, and arrive in Shore to find the place strangely quiet and bound by a curfew. Though they go to meet Lord Owlston as instructed to hear about the job, only the steward is there, and it's revealed the Lord hasn't left his private chambers in several days.
The party goes into the mine without delay, but what started as a simple extermination job is soon revealed to be something more sinister. There is a ruin that stretches beneath the mine all the way to the edge of the deep sea, ancient bones that perhaps ought not be disturbed.
