Takeover at whisper base

General Summary

A small team of rebels are dropped in the Jungle of Onderon with instructions to capture the covert imperial listening post know as Whisper base.   After a tiring trek through the jungle the squad arrives at the base, sneaking into the base garage, they cut the hard line to the comm dish and hide in the nearby crates, allowing them to ambush the guards who come to check out the signal loss. With the guards taken out and a keycard to the base acquired the squad decide to hide the body's and steal some imperial uniforms. while they are doing this they are interrupted by the Droid BX-2R who had been commanded to clean the garage, the squad do not stop him but RC removes his restraining bolt and convinces him to assist them.   In their Imperial disguises the team move through the base to the landing pad, arriving at the pad they bluff their way past the guards and then jump them from behind while RC disables the shuttle.   That done they look to taking the control room, hacking the security cameras they discover that there a several Storm Troopers near the control room, not thinking they can deal with them all at once they send RC to see if he can lock the doors remotely and isolate the groups of troopers.   While RC is doing that Jekko, Kyri and Toor head to the control room door and Jekko attempts to bluff the Troopers. Unfortunately it doesn't work and the troopers open fire. a brief fight erupts in which the troopers are taken out.   RC succeeded in locking the other Storm Troopers in the barracks and came to join the rest. Jekko pretending to be one of the Storm Troopers convinces the control room staff to open the door whereupon the rest of the team burst in holding the staff at gunpoint, unfortunately the base commander wasn't there, it seems he had used a secret escape tunnel to extract himself and had fled in an AT-ST towards the Communication tower to send a distress call.   The squad rush to pursue, Jekko and Kyri on speeder bikes, while RC and Toor steal the other AT-ST.   Reasoning that he must be heading to the Comms tower the party elect to have the AT-ST try to beat Sarev there while the others keep chase on the bikes. Sarev is joined by 2 scout troopers on bikes as well and there is a tense race through the jungle, Jekko's bike is badly damaged but he manages to jump from it to Sarev's AT-ST. Kyri manages to take out one of the scout troopers unfortunately her bike is shot out from under her in the process, in the ensuing crash she manages to take down the last scout and is left badly hurt in a tree as the case races off away from her.   RC manages to beat Sarev to the comms array and gets out of the AT-ST to sabotage the array.   Sarev's AT-ST arrives at the Comms Array with Jekko balanced atop it attempting to get inside. Toor opens fire with then guns of his AT-ST and a brief shootout ensues between the two Walkers until Jekko succeeds in getting inside and disables Serev.   It seems that during the fight one of the AT-ST blaster bolts damaged the Comm Array and the feedback zapped RC who was connected to it at the time.   The Rebels now control the base but there will be quite a bit of work to make it operational.
