Articles-&-Management -Todo-list -done -wip -work-in-progress -finder -filter -selector
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently, any articles marked as "Done" do not show as such and there is no way to search for the "status" of an article, meaning if youd like to track things like number of articles that are WIP vs Done (or similar comparisons) unless you add a "Done" tag to the article(s) in question you'll never find them except by memory alone.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
By using a similar setup to the TODO list, users should be able to search by ALL article statuses. Going even one step further, adding a "tracker" (much like the one that exists in the Articles & Management that expands out to show number of total articles, words, likes, follows, etc) that automatically shows the total makeup by that. As an example, perhaps have a selectable filter that allows you to designate Unpublished/Published, Private/Public, WIP/Done, All Articles/Only Filtered.
As an added point, being able to only view the latest articles, minor lists of 50 (allow for an All List, please, or multiple pages), and no history/footprint as to WHEN an article switched statuses are all issues that can be addressed using something like what I've suggested above.
What are other uses for this feature request?
See above.
The Team's Response
This suggestion did not achieve sufficient support
Articles marked as "done" can be counted in the thousands, this kind of separation is not in any way intuitive.
There is already the way to select articles which are NOT done and this is there to promote article completion
