Great idea but like others said, might be tricky to implement this. Sure, maybe we would need something like "extended writing permission" to allow only certain people to do so.

Nice idea, not sure if it would add a ton of checks in the background (and who is allowed to @ articles? Anyone posting in the board? Or just authors/owners?)   Honestly, I think that article block or link are just fine. This one would be WAY low on my list of priorities.

I must admit, as nice as this sounds, it wouldn't work well when the system must identify if you're authorised to see articles.

You can already do that by copy pasting the link to the article or the article block.   Both can be found as copy to clipboard links from Articles and Categories AND the article sidebar.
