What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I logged https://github.com/worldanvil/worldanvil-bug-tracker/issues/195 as a bug but was told that this was a feature, not a bug, and would require significant development: "This has always been the case and is working as intended. If anything this would be a feature request, but would likely be a complete rebuild on certain aspects. The active resource is based on the account and not the browser window." Basically, a situation arose where I needed a character window open to add in a journal entry for the game session I was in, as well as having the world open to view/edit details (I host the world, and the co-author is dyslexic, so I also do a lot of editing on the fly for him). When I came to save the journal entry, the system errored, stating that I had no active character, despite the character being selected in the active tab. I then tried to re-add the journal entry, using two different browsers (I hadn't cottoned on to the fact that the world being open at the same time was the problem), but still got the same error. I ended up having to close the tab with the world open in it, refresh the tab with the character in it and re-select teh character before I could successfully re-write and save the journal entry.How does this feature request address the current situation?
By adding saved resources on a tab/browser level, rather than the account level, it will allow users to edit multiple things (such as the scenario above), at the same time.What are other uses for this feature request?
Anything that requires you to have multiple tabs open at once. Especially good if you are editing multiple articles or, the scenario above for role-players.The Team's Response

on 2021-04-26 05:00While I have only rarely had problems with it, I almost always have multiple tabs open on multiple computers, with a significant portion of them in edit mode. This is just how I work on things. Anything that helps prevent problems in these situations is a good thing.
