What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
Currently you have to make a marker and link said marker to another map if you want to have multiple maps in one. This means that you will have to create a file with all the maps you have in one, which, depending on your software is awkward to do.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
This feature would allow you to link maps together and place them side by side in the map presentation view by way of some sort of coordinate grid. For example, if you have a map for a country or a part of a continent you could have that set to the grid at 0,0 making it centred but then you could have another map further down at 0,-100 placing it flush with the other map (depending on the size). Alternatively you could have the maps moveable by dragging it around the window and placing in into position and then locking it into place. This will help people to make more detailed maps without having to map a map of the whole world and then having the image blur the further in you zoom. Instead it will show, 2 or 4 maps in one, or even do a tile system where it only pulls the specific tiles needed for what you are viewing.
