Hello there!   This is already possible. If you do not wish for your notes to appear on the presentation side you can use the article's "Scrapbook" section on the right handside of the article's edit screen   If you do not want to move the "seeds" around, you can use the secrets functionality and either have it appear on the tabs below (attached to an article) or by using the [secret] tag to add it anywhere in the article.
