What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I have unfortunately neglected the Map features of World Anvil for entirely TOO LONG! And I know Dimitris has made upgrades since I have last explored it and it looks AWESOME so, special shout out. Much love! <3 To get to the point, though, there isn't much that I can ask for improvement on straight off the bat except the fact that a vehicle cannot be linked. There is an option to add "Related" Location, Organization, and Category, but there is no option to add Related Vehicle.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
With our current SUPER AWESOME CHALLENGE, I wanted to make my boat map, so I wanted to link in the Penumbra, which is the name of the boat I am showcasing. That's when I noticed it wasn't even an option. I would love to be able to do that.What are other uses for this feature request?
In addition to helping with the current challenge, I also figure it's just a cool little thing that can help people think to make maps of vehicles if they hadn't imagined doing so before. It would be nice (if it is possible) to add other things, like Related Myth or Related Ethnicity, or even Related Plot because some maps are more overly used in certain stories or games. thanks for reading, everyone! The idea about tracking would be probably something to be actioned by a Chronicle since we are talking about location and time.

on 2021-09-18 11:00I think adding a general "related article" option would be good, because then we would be free to link anything from vehicles to myths and conflicts. My ship is also a character, so I'd love to link that... or maybe her species since the map shows their internal anatomy.

on 2021-09-15 09:58Like FizzyBee suggested, being able to track the route a vehicle or person is taking along the map would be great, and having more "related" location selections is a great way to get there while also encouraging more map making.

on 2021-09-14 20:30I haven't played with the map feature too much yet as I'm not far enough along to make use of it. However, for future me, I can definitely see the benefit of tracking a vehicle. Rather than (or in addition to) connecting it to a specific pinned location though, I feel it would make more sense to be able to link it to a plotted section of a journey on a map. Either linking to an article for a specific item, or just having either a blank box or a drop down menu so you can fill in info eg travelling by foot/car/plane/hippo etc.
