Discord -webhook multiple-campaigns

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

I run two campaigns.  They share the same world but differ by 100 years in the timeline.  I don’t want to bombard each group with updates from the other as it’s not relevant to them.  The single webhook makes that impossible unless I literally change it every time manually.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

Allow swapping between webhooks easily or promoting which we hook to send the update to and allow ease of updating two separate campaigns.

What are other uses for this feature request?

  Improved updating of discord servers.

The Team's Response

I am closing this for lack of support BUT   The new technologies developed by discord using the / menu per server is something i would really like to explore and a potential solution to this issue and upgrade to the system as a whole.

Simple select (dropdown list) wouldn't clutter UI. Very useful!

Feels really niche, but potentially useful for some people. Would it really clutter things up that bad (as some have suggested)? Probably not. Honestly, most people probably wouldn't even notice.

Even though there are other ways to do this, this would be the cleanest and easiest way for end users to send notification to multiple servers, great for many creators.   Strongly disagree with ka_jan that it will clutter the UI to the proposed degree, seems like a minor downside compared to the huge upside for laypeople that the feature will provide.

Clutters up the UI for many while being useful to only a few. Also makes setting up webhooks way more complicated than it needs to be IMHO.   Counterproposal: Notification Endpoint for the API that lets us attach bots (like most of the more involved channels already have to use for general management anyway). That way, we can have bots for multiple currently unsupported chat services (telegram? Signal? Guilded?) and also have the logic that selects which users to notify on the side that does the actual notification.   Coin-amount selected to counterbalance enthusiasm.

YES. I can see this being doubly useful for any Sages around who might want to send their content out to multiple servers or allow users to subscribe to their updates easier without the need of an RSS feed style thing.
