What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
If you want to set the access rights for am image, you need to go to the advanced properties of an image. There, you can only set the accessability for that one particular picture. If the image is already in a gallery, you can do this as well, but as soon as you want to set those rights on another picture in the same gallery, you are sent back to the "root image folder", have to navigate to tzhe gallery again, then to the image, then go to advanced, then scroll all the way down and set the access right for groups.How does this feature request address the current situation?
To be able to just set the access rights to the galley, and therefore to all the pictures in the gallery as well, a lot of work just clicking around would be avoided and therefore enhance the user experience for the author.What are other uses for this feature request?
This could also be used for other areas like cathegories, so that all the child articles could be given the access rights of the parent categoryThe Team's Response
This suggestion received very little support during the period of its voting. PARTLY ACCEPTED read below Overall this system needs a bit of love. Love will be given. Galleries might get sub groups but I do not think that it wil be implemented as described. What I can say with some certainly is that I will make it easier for you to manage permissions on images.
