Four hundred years ago, the first Founders set foot on Mankind's new home, Vesta. Awakening eons after leaving a desolated Earth, these settlers rebuilt human civilization, spreading throughout the star cluster at an unprecedented speed. Faster-than-light travel, terraforming, fusion energy... Mankind entered a golden age of prosperity under the Vestan Federation, forgetting so easily how it could all be lost again.

Of course, mankind's most primal instincts eventually resurfaced. Idealistic philosophies faded, and conflicts erupted. After decades of neglect, the oldest colony, Asteria, declared independence from the Federation and formed the Enodian Ascendancy. After only two years, First Interstellar War ended in the destruction of Asteria and the exile of its people to Enodia, the Ascendancy's new homeworld. As time passed, both nations eventually became powerful rivals, each capable of immense destruction.

As the global arms race rages on, however, another conflict brews in the shadows. Imperial and federal agents alike pursue their hidden agendas, while an even darker plot looms on both nations. Aided by unfortunate souls caught at the wrong place, at the wrong moment, these brave men and women who do not exist fight for all Mankind. They are Phantoms, and this, is their Last Frontline.
