We arrived at the site of the attack just as the survivor had mentioned. Death prevailed in this place and bodies were torn in ways we had never seen. The stench and blood was enough to make even the hardened soldiers vomit. As we began to identify bodies and uncover recoverable goods we heard a scream. Tobias, one of our younger men, was suspended in the air on some sort of flesh covered axe. We followed the blade to realize it was fused with a monster’s arm. The monster was one we have fought many times before… Mountain Troll. But this one was different. The beast still had the complexion of a troll but it had an axe fused with its right arm and weird metal parts all over the body. Spines seemed to come out of its back and the jaw of the beast had huge teeth coming out of it. It was a terrifying sight. We did all we could to fight it. With one swing it took out 20 men. When all seemed to be lost the beast suddenly stopped. It seemed to be staring into the distance. As quickly as it had brought despair on us it left. We still do not know why it did not finish us off.
