~Gole~

“The humor, veilen, and glishen certainly chose an isolated location for their community.” I remark as we trudge up one of the Mountains of Ikk and Poole sighs,

“That they did. However, we may need some of their technology for our quest.”

A strange, roaring sound fills the air and I stop to look up. Humors wearing flying boots study us for a moment from a safe height before they fly off together in one direction.

“They are going to warn the others, I imagine.” Poole remarks from my back and I frown.

“I hope they don’t try to attack us.  I’m not in the mood for a battle.”

“Easy, Gole, not everyone is wanting to do battle. Not everyone is a monster.”

“Only most cyagenians.” I reply and the roaring sound returns.

I stop again and look up.

This time there is only one veil female of about two and a half feet in height. She carefully lands in front of us and flips her blonde hair out of her face. She studies us with hazel eyes for a moment, her light skin shining in the sunlight before she smiles and bows.

“Hello, Gole of Everburning Rage and Poole Pand .”

“Leader Hulterna.” Poole says formally.

“How do you know her name?” I ask Poole and he sighs.

“I do research too, Gole. I’m still Poole Pand after all.”

“Well, Leader Hulterna, as you must know by my presence, I’m not here on a goodwill visit. We need some equipment to help us go after Terror.”

Leader Hulterna visibly pales and wipes her face with her hand.

“Well, that certainly is not a goodwill call.  I expected no less grave news from you, Gole. You will have the finest equipment from my community. Was there anything in particular you were wanting?”

“Well, if you still produce those strange, flying discs that Thee created, that would be great.”
