Regeneration. The companion regains 2d10 + 4 HP at the start of each of its turns, provided it still has at least 1 HP, there is a dead creature within 15ft of it, and it hasn't taken fire damage since its last turn. Siege Monster. The companion deals double damage to objects and structures. Festering Aura. Any creature, other than you, that starts its turn within 5ft of the companion must succeed on a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or be poisoned until the start of its next turn.

Hit: 1d12 + PB bludgeoning and 4 necrotic damage. Claw/Bite. Melee weapon attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, reach 10ft, one target the companion can see. Hit: 1d10 + PB slashing damage, and the target must pass a strength saving throw against your spell save DC or become grappled. A creature grappled in this way takes 1d4 + 4 necrotic damage at the start of each of its turns. The companion may only grapple two creatures in this way, and may not use its Claw/Bite attack while it has two creatures grappled. Needle. Ranged weapon attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, range 120ft, one creature the companion can see. Hit: 1d10 + PB piercing damage. Hurl Stone. Ranged weapon attack: your spell attack modifier to hit, range 30ft, one target the creature can see, ammunition. Hit: 3d6 + PB bludgeoning damage, and if the target is a creature, it must pass a strength saving throw against your spell save DC or be knocked prone.

This creature is the result of almost three decades of tinkering with the aberrant energies from distant planes including the plane of negative energy, the Shadowfell, and even a few tentative examinations of the Far Realm. Exactly the type of entity that the Knights of Balas' Fist most fear, this was summoned by an evil druid from an animal or plant like any other, twisted by dark magic and cruel alchemy into something dangerous and hard to kill. Monsters like this one could, in the hands of ill-intentioned people, bring down the walls of Darfort and Lirfort, leaving the fertile Grainlands undefended against the hoards of cruel and merciless gnolls, goblinoids, and mutated remnants that dwell in the northern parts of the world. The companion is intensely protective of its creator, and is generally inclined to violence. Its massive form grants it immense strength, and its thick hide and magical origins grant it fortitude even beyond most other aberrant creatures. It is the pride and joy of a Circle of Decay druid. PB = proficiency bonus of the druid who created this creature.
