Rare Requires Attunement by a Wizard Specialized in a School of Magic

Produced by a special needle and enchanted inks, this magic tattoo captures and stores arcane energy to enhance the power of the spells you cast from your school of magic.

Tattoo Attunement.

To attune to this item, you hold the needle to your skin where you want the tattoo to appear, pressing the needly there throughout the attunement process. When the attunement is complete, the needle turns into the ink that becomes the tattoo, which appears on the skin.

Spellcraft Benefits.

While the tattoo is on your skin, you gain the following benefits:
  • The tattoo focus can serve as your spellcasting focus.

  • You can add 2 to the DC for all saving throws against the spells you cast from your specialized school of magic.

  • While you are in the area of effect of a circle or high magic field and you cast a spell from your specialized school, you can use your reaction to cancel the spell’s effects and store it in the tattoo focus. The tattoo focus can store a number of spells equal to your spellcasting ability modifier. These spells must be of a level no greater than your wizard level. These spells are lost after 24 hours unless you use a bonus action to release them beforehand.

  • While you are in a circle’s area of effect and are not its circle leader, you can use your action to transfer one of your spell slots to the circle leader. This spell slot must be of a level no greater than your proficiency bonus, but it can be of a higher level than the circle leader normally possesses.

    Spell slots gained in this manner are lost when the circle leader completes a short or long rest. Spell slots transferred to a circle leader are regained when you complete a short or long rest.
