This sword is capable of at will Magical Surges (Roll d100 and refer to chart).
The Sword is also capable "consuming" other magical items, converting them to a charge slot (Maximum of 4).

When the Hero came to stop Fiddlesticks, his magic from sealing the monster away washed through the land, settling in the earth, creating Gem Hollows Gems. The most saturated of these being the Rainbow Quartz, of which the Sword Grant had forged for his son was made from. And to ensure his sons weapon would never lose its magic, he had it infused with magic, so that it can absorb the magical properties of other weapons to "recharge" itself.

However, with his sons death, Grant hid the sword away, not having the heart to throw it out.
