Legendary Mazînmagisk Attunement

Lifestone.jpg

Lifestones are legendary magic objects left over from the Mazînmagisk Era. It is not known how many existed and how many still are intact.

Death Cancellation

A carrier of a lifestone creates a bond, promising something to Chergathar - Goddess of Spirit & Soul in case of death, in exchange for a single cancellation of their death. However, a lifestone needs the approval of a second lifestone carrier. Once a carrier dies, a second carrier may choose to use their lifestone to save them, destroying both lifestones, and resurrecting the dead one to stand tall fully in health with no curses or diseases, in the exact state they were before their final blow.

Mechanics

The carrier & the second Lifestone's carrier must use their reactions to use the death cancellation. The carrier exits their body and time freezes. Accepted sacrifices:
  • 5K worth of Valna (accepted collectively by the two carriers)

  • 2 of the carrier's highest rarity items

  • 1 Vary Rare item or higher

  • The carrier's main weapon

  • Something else - to the DM's discretion

The 2 lifestones and sacrifices disappear. The carrier returns to their body, and time unfreezes. If standing in that spot will result in death with no denial, they appear in a safe spot of the DM's choice. The reason for the death changes (an enemy misses, a trap is broken...). The carrier receives the effect of a long rest, and +5 AC for 2 rounds. The second carrier receives +2 AC for 5 rounds. Only the 2 carriers remember this event.
