The Rattler is an early attempt at creating an automatic firing crossbows. After several failed attempt at traditional models of crossbows, Professor Dillian Lininlock suggested the initial design of the weapon; a strange funnel shaped contraction with a vertically aligned five shot firing system.

Though lacking in accuracy the rapid fire rate and wider spread proved useful against large clusters of opponent or larger beasts and monsters.

SPREAD; This weapon require all creature within the radius to make a dexterity saving through against you combat DC
( 8 + Dex + Prof, if proficient with this weapon).

SPECIAL (Large target specialist); Targets of Large or larger size have disadvantage against the martial saving throw. in contrast creatures of tiny size act as if they had evasion when regarding damage from this weapon (half on a failed save and none on a successful save).
