My Life forever changed on 4/17/11 with the airing of the HBO TV show Game of Thrones based upon George RR Martin, The A Song of Ice and Fire book series. One viewing and I was hooked.   After reading the novels and becoming one of the many plot line/character theorist, I wanted to know more about the actual history that had inspired Mr. Martin. I was watching a documentary when the host said "now let's go back to Yonan Bo." Well I was in the middle of washing dishes when I heard this and thought to myself what a cool name Yonan Bo. I immediately turned off the water and quickly dried off my hand, and raced towards the remote. Hit rewind to only find the announcer had mentioned two separate names, that I misheard over the water as one name.   Then suddenly their he was in my mind’s eye. I could see Yonan Bo and his friends and the journey that he was forced to go on.   Now I have never written anything before, not even a short story, but there I was about to embark upon my own journey of attempting to write a novel. From having to learn how to write, to what it takes to run a city, and how one people could and would relate to another. To reading about how to climb a mountain, herbology, the secret teaching of all ages, our own world history, and the many different religious practices and the several subsections that have been created over time. Not to mention the hundreds of myths and legends, cosmology, and astronomy from around the world. Seriously, name a topic and I've had to study it in some way or fashion in order to create the world in which Yonan Bo lives.   It is a journey that has taken many years and many sleepiness nights, and many hairs have been pilled out, but I have to say, it has truly been the most enjoyable and truly rewarding and enlightening process, the time of my life.
