An enigmatic being, the young Rowan is known to spend long periods of time staring at a computer screen, despite its full ability to do just about anything else. Its favorite activity on most days seems to be the creation and consumption of food, followed closely by lying still--but, curiously enough, not actually sleeping. Though a Rowan's schedule is regulated on most days, when left alone, most specimens prefer to do nothing at all. Curiously, when left to their own devices, some Rowans will produce high, warbling notes, reminiscent of music but lacking the finesse seen in many of the creatures it shares a habitat with.
