Curative Vampirism

The practice of Curative Vampirism is still very new, and highly untrustworthy for many people. The practice is largely predicated on the idea that some of the benefits of Vampirism can be obtained with none of the downsides, allowing for the curing of many if not all naturally occurring diseases.   The essential methodology breaks down to the consumption of minute amounts of Vampire's blood in order to trigger the body's response to it. Both the body attempting to purge it - it is technically poison - and the properties of the blood itself are supposed to work together to repair the damage done to the patient by disease. As the blood can, in the proper dosages, create a Vampire - a creature that is immune to disease and heals rapidly, there is an inherent curative nature to the blood. However, as that seems largely magical and not scientific, many are wary of using Vampire blood as medicine.   Still, even with the doubt surrounding the breakthrough, there have been documented cases of it working quite well. It has proven especially effective at curing Lycan's Rash, seeing a full recovery in 73% of those it was tested on. Alas, the only country where this is a legally available is Kalastrad, limiting both the sample size and the availability to the wider world.   Some have begun to draw a correlation between the fact that Vampiric blood has an interaction with herbs used to combat Lycanthropy as suggesting that there must be some kind of interaction between the two races as a whole. It is unknown if there is any voracity to this assertion.
