Krios

The Krios are an ethnicity that adapted to live in very cold temperatures. Their presence is limited to Glacia, a town dangerously close to the southern side of the great abyss that made the environment inhospitable for most living beings. In fact, the heavy presence of dark energy in the region has made the temperatures in the area surrounding Glacia drop considerably at the point that perenneal snow and ice are formed.   The only available food to them are the fishes that live in the fruity lake that are exceptionally rich in nutrients, thus the Krios learned to become skilled anglers.

Culture

Common Dress code

Because of low temperatures, the Krios must wear heavy clothes when going outside. The clothes are made with the skin and fur of various animals living far in the south.

Art & Architecture

Krios architecture is very sophisticated and ably made to insulate the buildings from extreme cold temperatures. These buildings have a complex warming system that uses heath generated from the underground. The outside of these buildings ressemble grey cubes with no windows, but the inside is cozy and hospitable.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Once a year, a group of Krios men travel to the south to hunt for animals needed for warm clothing, food, and other items. The expedition can take up to three months and occasionally some of the meat is sold to traveling merchants in exchange of other useful materials.

Common Taboos

Because of the presence of the great abyss, the Krios' most common sayings are "never go north" and "north is death, south is life" as going north is too dangerous. Some people would be tempted to go there because the north of Glacia has the only bridge connecting the two sides of the chasm, but not many were able to get to the other side.
