The Fsaak-liss

The Fsaak-liss is a vast impact crater that wraps around a significant section of the pangaean continent on Szorik which makes up the bulk of land inhabited by szassar. It starts with a furrow close to the equator, which is surrounded by a significant amount of impact uplift in the equatorial highlands. This "furrow" is some three hundred miles wide at its narrowest point, and in the furrow section there are significant variations of depth, indicating that whatever body impacted the planet in that location may have bounced several times. The furrow section of the crater is some three thousand miles in length and great upthrusts of earth from the impact form mountain ranges either side.   However, the most spectacular element of the Fsaak-liss is a thousand-mile wide round crater. It is unclear whether the main body of the crater was created by the object that created the furrow section of the Fsaak-liss, but the geological record shows that both events were contemporaneous. The impact is estimated to have taken place about 800,000 years before the ascension of the szassar as a civilised race. Whilst relatively recent in geological terms, the impact seems to have been responsible for bringing a significant amount of water to what appears to have been a much more arid world before its arrival. It is widely believed that a significant contribution to the emergence of the pangaea on which most szassar live was this impact, which must have been devastating to the planet prior to the impact. Geologists theorise that the impact caused sufficient downward force on the impact site that cracks formed in a wide radius, resulting in a continental plate. After millennia of vulcanism, this plate slowly rose to the level it sits at today. This explains why the polar regions are so mineral rich - the vulcanism at the plate's rim brought metals from the planet's metallic core to the surface.   The outer rim of the Fsaak-liss was breached by erosion from oceanic currents some 300,000 years ago, and the whole area is now subject to some level of inundation. Cracks in the walls of the uplifted sections have become deep ravines, through which deep fjords have cut a path over the years.   Many szass theorise that the huge ice-based asteroid that created the Fsaak-liss may have been a gift of life to an otherwise hostile world. There is significant speculation that Kri-Kik Split-tail themself believed in this, via the reference to "Forge People" in their Codex.

Already a nice start and good description of the crator. Right now it is a less easy to read due to layout. Consider adding some headers or creating some smaller paragraphs to freshen up the article :)
