Tsiki Caverns

There exist large cave systems underneath the continent of Tsiki, the Elven homeland. These caves were first discovered by a Light Elf archeologist, Reth Ha'eth, after an excavation he was performing caused a shift in the earth. The events of the excavation are well documented and are available for anyone to read at the Grand library in the Tsiki capital, however, the documents detailing what the team found in the cavern are hidden from the public eye. 
Many Elven pilgrims make the journey to the caves, all seek to gaze upon the vast and unusual shapes. Many who travel there have their own theories for what Reth Ha'eth found in the darkness, clues litter in the features of the rock. Harsh burns can be seen on every surface, old burns, scaring the rock. There are thousands of divets on the floor of the caves, perfectly smooth and semi-spherical. Many believe that this was once a breeding ground for the Ancient Ones, nothing of this time could burn rock as seen throughout. The floor divets could have been used to hold the eggs, however, they appear far too small for their young. 
Some believe that these cave systems are where the Night Elves must have come from, although all Night Elves deny this claim. This hypothesis is more than just, as the Night Elves have an affinity for the dark and even now reside in their mountain caves. Other than the Night Elves making their home in caves today, there is no more evidence to support this claim, the mountains are located on the eastern side of the continent, whereas the subterranean caves are far to the west.
The only souls expected to know the original inhabitants of the cave are the original archeology team, the Skiffor Druids, and Empress Tlaj Tsiki. The Empress doesn't speak of the matter when asked. The archeologists believe the question to be insulting. And the druids only speak to the Empress. 
Whatever they found in those caverns will most likely make it to the pointy ears of the Elven people.
