Vavarin (a.k.a. Rin)

A unique individual, Vavarin is a martyr symbol for those who find themselves 'lost' at some point in life, whether literally or metaphorically.

Life

Born to a sailor and a whore, Vavarin had an unconventional childhood. When her father went away for voyages, Vav would stay with their mother and her 'friends'. While her mother worked to make a living Vav was left to fend for them-self, often exploring the nearby neighborhoods, and when they got older they would take on odd jobs here and there. When their father returned, every few years, he brought an abundance of gifts and stories; the struggle of making money and eating would disappear, and a sense of comfort settled in.
This cycle would repeat itself well into Vav's early twenties, only broken when her mother grows ill. It was decided she should spend her last days in the same place she's always been, so when Vav's father returned a plan was made. The whole family would make a small voyage to a beautiful region far down the coast they called home.
This region, known as The Ouv Isles, was famous for its abundance in culture, colors, and personality. Because Vav's father traveled through the region many times in his life, he had a small home they could live in without worry. The journey itself, while new and jarring at first, was equally exciting and familiar for Vav.
When Vav told her mother of this, she laughed, "That is the adventurer in you, my dear, your father's blood is as evident as mine. Though I do not think I share the same love for the sea as you, the swaying is nauseating."
Once settled into their new home, Vav was exposed to a world of possibilities. People her age with families of their own, with partners of their choosing, with steady jobs and friends. People with passions, whether it be art or fighting, building or destroying, staying still, or running away. Adventurers filled with wanderlust and shopkeepers with detailed knowledge of everything in the region.
The culture-shock struck of Vav's core if these people could do as they wish with hard work even though everyone knows who they are, then someone unseen and unknown such as themselves could truly become anything.

Death

This train of thought would be the first in a series that brought about Vav's demise.

Revelation

Should you wake in a grave of your own creation, how would you react? Would it be senseless screaming, crying, panic, or cold determination to break out?
Vav was a mix of equal part disbelief and spite when they awoke; cold and clammy, their skin sticking to their clothes and the walls of this cruel box. This was a punishment, not for Vav, but for those around them.

Following

In order to follow Vav you must not follow anything. The law of attraction is key to achieving this goal, you need only to wander aimlessly with no other wants or needs in mind.
Because of this you never see a gathering of followers, in fact, you may never see a follower at all. They tend to stay away from settlements, living in the wilderness, and only ever interacting with people in they need work, rest, or food and cannot find any themselves.

Meaning

It is in Vav's belief, that they represent purpose even when you have nothing left in life. They are a destination for which there is no set trail, an idea of freedom in having no attachments.
