Boscom Barbery School

The Barbery School is a training ground of some of the most respected professionals in Waihohn and a gathering place for the people of Harden and the sailors of its port. Though it is a school and the barbers are students or apprentices in large, the building is open in service. The only training for a barber is real experience. Services available at the school are plentiful: A shave, a haircut, a bath, pulling teeth, stitching a wound, measuring blood pressure, and even select surgeries. This array of specialized skills earns the barbers due respect for their work. Lemon trees grow around the school's courtyard as many customers unknowingly show signs of scurvy. The school makes a wonderful pink lemonade with myrtle berries.
     As most people call it, the Soak House is an important gathering place for the people in Harden. Foreign sailors and local commoners sit around in hot baths, saunas, or barber's chairs and share stories and gossip. Many say the Soak House is the hub of information for the common folk of Harden and they have good reason to. The conversations it fosters and the diversity of its clientele are hard to find outside its walls. It truly is the best place in Waihohn to hear about the current events of Coulesia. The sailors who go back and forth are the main artery of the grapevine between the two continents' working classes.
     The Boscom Barbery School's location in the Port of Harden makes it the quickest place for sailors to freshen up after time at sea. Many folk who walk off a boat in Harden head straight to the Soak House for a bath, a shave, and perhaps some medical attention. Though most large ships employ a doctor or medic of some sort, less pressing issues are often left until port is reached. Dental hygiene is particularly poor on ships and many teeth are pulled in the Barbery School. The residents of the school are trained in all sorts of hygienic practices and they do a great service to better the people of Harden. Though the Soak House isn't where you should run in an emergency, its not a bad place to have one.
